Role Summary The Data Entry Operator will support the accounts and store operations team by ensuring accurate and timely entry of financial transactions , preparing vouchers, coordinating banking activities, and maintaining proper documentation. The role is critical for maintaining financial accuracy and audit readiness in a high-value jewellery retail environment.

Key Responsibilities Accounting Data EntryEnter purchase, sales, expenses, and journal entries into ERP/accounting software. Ensure accurate tagging of jewellery items , invoice numbers, and GST details. Maintain proper records of gold, diamond, and other inventory-linked transactions . 2.

Voucher

PreparationPrepare payment, receipt, contra, and journal vouchers . Ensure all vouchers are properly authorized and supported with documents . Maintain sequential filing of vouchers for audit and verification.

- Reconciliation SupportAssist in daily banking work (cash deposits, cheque handling, NEFT/RTGS tracking). Maintain records of bank transactions and deposit slips . Support bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and report discrepancies.
- Documentation &
- Record ManagementMaintain organized records of invoices, bills, approvals, and expense documents . Ensure proper filing (physical & digital) for easy retrieval during audits. Track pending bills and follow up with internal departments.

- Compliance SupportAssist in GST data preparation and reconciliation . Ensure correct entry of GST details in purchase and sales transactions .
- Coordination with Accounts &
- Store TeamWork closely with cashier, sales team, and accounts department for accurate data flow. Cross-check billing data with physical invoices and stock movement .

Candidate Profile Experience: 1–3 years in data entry / accounts assistant role (retail or jewellery preferred) Education: Commerce background preferred (B.Com / 12th Commerce) Key SkillsStrong data entry speed with accuracy Basic knowledge of accounting principles &
