Summary Of Role

Data Engineers are responsible for finding trends in data sets and developing algorithms to help make raw data more useful to the organization. This IT role requires a significant set of technical skills, including a deep knowledge of SQL database design and multiple programming languages.

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. For example, you’ll create algorithms and conduct statistical analysis. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.

To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of learning machine methods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Analyse and organize raw data
- To develop visual, interactive reports using Power BI for effective prediction and understanding of data analysis trends
- To produce ad-hoc and project work by analysing data for new opportunities and on-going business
- To utilize Excel advance techniques like Pivot Table, V-Lookup H-Lookup for mining data and performing analysis
- To perform A/B testing and target vs control analysis
- To perform exploratory data analysis and data investigation using SQL and Python • To facilitate data management and analyses using Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, and SQL
- To perform descriptive, diagnostic, inferential, prescriptive, and predictive analysis of data
- To work on creation of customer segmentation, profiling, and defining customer usage medtigo India Private Limited

- To extract data from various sources using DB queries, to design and implement dashboards based on transformed data
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
- To develop visual, interactive reports using Power BI for effective prediction and understanding of data analysis trends
- Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling
- Build algorithms and prototypes, Combine raw information from different sources • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
- Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
- Demonstrated reliability, able to “close the loop” and complete requests in timely manner, including returning all contacts (calls and emails) within 24 hours, preferably by end of same business day
- Performs other duties assigned as required or requested.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques • Power BI development and administration
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python)
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Great numerical and analytical skills
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a master’s is a plus
- Data engineering certification (e.g. IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus • Good communication skills and critical thinking skill sets.
