Role Summary The Onsite DC Lead will act as the single point of contact at the Kolkata site and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring Data Center infrastructure deployment activities. The role covers passive network cabling, rack installation, server installation, UPS and power coordination, material readiness, site governance, vendor coordination, quality control, and daily project reporting.

1. Project Management & Execution

- Manage end-to-end execution of Data Center build-up and infrastructure deployment activities at the Kolkata site.
- Prepare, track, and monitor project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
- Conduct daily site reviews with internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
- Ensure project execution is aligned with approved scope, implementation plan, quality standards, and agreed schedule.
- Escalate delays, material gaps, quality deviations, technical blockers, and dependency issues in a timely manner.

2. Passive Cabling & Structured Network Coordination

- Oversee passive network implementation including structured cabling, fiber connectivity, patch panel readiness, rack-to-rack cabling, labeling, and cable dressing.
- Coordinate with cabling vendors for installation quality, route validation,



cable management, termination, testing, and documentation.
- Validate cable tagging, patching details, fiber connectivity, and as-built documentation before sign-off.
- Ensure site cabling activity follows approved drawings, BOQ, rack layout, and Data Center standards.

3. Data Center Rack Installation

- Supervise rack placement, rack alignment, rack readiness, power availability, PDU readiness, grounding, cable entry, and equipment mounting.
- Coordinate rack layout implementation for servers, storage, switches, load balancers, and other infrastructure components.
- Ensure rack installation includes proper power cabling, data cabling, inter-rack cabling, labeling, and cable dressing.
- Validate rack elevation, rack utilization, device placement, and connectivity schematics before equipment readiness sign-off.

4. Server & IT Infrastructure Installation

- Coordinate physical installation of servers and associated infrastructure components as per approved rack layout and deployment plan.
- Support inventory verification, shipment validation, serial number tracking, and wrong/short shipment escalation.
- Coordinate with server, network, storage, security, electrical, and facility teams for smooth installation and handover.
- Ensure server installation readiness includes power-on validation,



network connectivity readiness, console access, and handover documentation.

5. Stakeholder, Vendor & Site Coordination

- Act as the onsite coordination point for client teams, OEMs, passive cabling partners, electrical contractors, facility teams, and internal project teams.
- Track vendor progress and ensure timely completion of assigned work packages.
- Coordinate site access, work permits, material movement, safety compliance, and dependency clearances.
- Maintain professional communication with the Project Director, client stakeholders, and delivery leadership.

6. Governance, Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare daily and weekly progress updates covering completed activities, planned activities, risks, issues, dependencies, and support required.
- Maintain site readiness checklist, material tracker, risk and issue tracker, installation tracker, and sign-off records.
- Ensure all implementation records, test reports, rack layout updates, cabling details, and handover documents are maintained accurately.
- Support closure documentation including as-built records, acceptance notes, and final handover packs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹750,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
