Data Architect – Data Platform Delivery & Client Program Lead

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to own the architecture, delivery, and client relationship for a strategic data program at an enterprise manufacturing organization, built on a modern cloud data stack. You will operate within the client's established enterprise architecture design standards and governance frameworks adapting and delivering to those standards rather than building in a greenfield. In areas where standards do not exist, you will have the opportunity to shape & help establish standards.

This is a role that goes well beyond technical design. Alongside architecting and leading hands-on implementation, you will play an account leadership role, own client delivery and stakeholder relationships, contribute to presales, and act as the primary liaison for the data program. Over time, we see your contribution in organizational presales and contributions to multiple accounts.

You will architect and guide solutions across Snowflake, cloud ETL / integration tooling (Informatica IICS, Talend, Boomi), AWS, and enterprise reporting (Cognos, Power BI) while playing a strategic role leading the team and partnering directly with client stakeholders to shape the roadmap and deliver outcomes.

This role suits someone who is technically deep, delivery lead capable, and client-facing, with solid team-management foundations and a genuine appetite to grow as a leader. We will actively support your development in people and delivery management.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Solution Design

· Own the end-to-end data architecture across the client stack: Snowflake, IICS, Talend, Boomi,

AWS, Cognos, and Power BI.

· Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions spanning ingestion, integration, data warehousing, modelling, and reporting.

· Work within the client's enterprise architecture design standards, integration patterns, and governance frameworks - and contribute to strengthening them where appropriate.

· Architect Snowflake solutions directly, or partner with the client's Snowflake leads to shape them, while safeguarding governance: cost management,



consumption oversight, warehouse.

· Lead technical implementation and stay hands-on where it matters - reviewing designs,

unblocking the team, and building critical components.

· Own solution design decisions and their trade-offs, and communicate them clearly to technical and business audiences.

Delivery & Team Leadership

· Lead and coordinate a data team of seven across engineering, integration, and BI.

· Plan and run sprints, manage and prioritize the backlog, and keep delivery on track (light scrum-master responsibilities).

· Own solution delivery from analysis through build, testing, deployment, and support.

· Manage defects, enhancements, and a prioritized improvement roadmap.

· Mentor team members, set technical direction, and support the team's growth.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

· Own the client relationship and act as the primary liaison for the data program.

· Manage stakeholder communications across internal and external teams.

· Gather requirements directly from business and technical stakeholders; define priorities, KPIs,

and acceptance criteria.

· Own client delivery outcomes and contribute to presales relationships.

· Build solution and proposal decks and present them to executive, business, and technical audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

· 5+ years in data engineering, data integration, or business intelligence, with 1+ years in a data architecture capacity.

· Strong Snowflake experience - able to architect solutions independently or collaborate closely with dedicated Snowflake leads to shape them.

· Solid grasp of Snowflake governance concepts: cost management, consumption / credit oversight, warehouse sizing, and access-management best practices (RBAC, data security).

· Comfortable working within,



and delivering to, an established enterprise architecture and governance framework.

· Strong hands-on experience with cloud ETL / data integration tooling - one or more of

Informatica IICS, Talend, or Boomi - and the ability to design across a mixed toolset.

· Solid experience with AWS data and platform services.

· Experience delivering enterprise reporting and analytics with Cognos and/or Power BI.

· Strong SQL and data modelling skills (dimensional and analytical modelling).

· Demonstrated ability to lead delivery and coordinate a team, with foundational team-

management experience and a clear interest in growing as a people / delivery leader.

· Proven ability to own client relationships and gather requirements directly from business stakeholders.

· Experience running agile delivery - sprint planning, backlog management, and prioritization.

· Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences.

· Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and ownership skills.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience owning presales and building solution proposal decks.

· Snowflake advanced features and warehouse / cost optimization.

· Experience across multiple ETL / integration tools in the same landscape (IICS + Talend +

Boomi).

· Data governance, security, and role-based access / access-model design.

· Experience delivering into a large, standards-driven enterprise - ideally in manufacturing or a comparable industrial / operational domain.

· Migration, go-live, or platform-modernization experience.

· Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change-management processes.

· Certified Scrum Master or equivalent agile / delivery experience.

Certifications (one or more preferred - not all required)

· SnowPro Core - or SnowPro Advanced: Architect

· AWS Certified - Solutions Architect or Data Engineer / Data Analytics

· Informatica Cloud (IICS) certification

· Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
