About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analytics and AI Specialist to join Airtel's energetic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of leveraging data-driven insights and advanced analytics to solve complex business problems, optimize operational processes, and enhance strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business, Product, Technology, Operations, and Risk, to identify opportunities where analytics and AI can generate measurable impact.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, a business-oriented mindset, and a passion for innovation, particularly in harnessing AI technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models to transform Airtel’s analytical capabilities.

Qualifications The successful candidate should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Proven experience in working with large datasets using SQL and Python is essential, along with proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau. Prior exposure to building scalable analytical models,



automation frameworks, and AI-enabled solutions is highly desirable.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to translate complex business needs into analytical solutions, and strong communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders confidently.

Experience in the fintech sector will be an added advantage, reflecting familiarity with financial data and related compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify and define high-impact business problems, translating ambiguous requirements into structured analytical problem statements and hypotheses.
- Independently source relevant data, develop analytical logic, and build robust, scalable solutions that generate actionable insights influencing business strategies.
- Work extensively with large and complex datasets, utilizing SQL and Python to extract, process, and analyze information efficiently and accurately.
- Develop advanced models, automation frameworks, and reusable datasets to streamline analytics workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Create intuitive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar tools, translating data into compelling stories that highlight key business drivers.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and Generative AI technologies into analytics workflows, building and experimenting with AI-enabled solutions to enhance decision-making and automate routine tasks.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Technology, and Business teams to ensure data availability,



quality, and usability, acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Take full ownership of analytical initiatives, from problem definition through implementation and impact measurement, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, challenging existing approaches and continuously seeking innovative solutions to complex problems.
