Purpose The Data Architect strengthens the impact of, and provides recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition, and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes.

The Data Solutions

Architect is responsible for discovering the data and analytics requirements for information for all uses and will be accountable for designing and evolving our data solutions, helping us provide a strong technical foundation as well as set of organisational practices for our journey to be a data driven organisation.

The D&A; Architect will work closely with our internal teams as well as SI and partner teams on design, estimation and build phases of various initiatives, including Program Optimus to ensure Reporting requirements are captured

Scope

This role will cover all regional business functions across TwiningsOvo businesses.

The role will be based in India, with occasional international travel to other TwiningsOvo offices, including France, Switzerland, Thailand, China, Australia, UK and USA.

Key Accountabilities

- Own the blueprint for Twining’s Data & Analytics Platform and Data Management solutions that enable the complete spectrum of analytics – from classic BI to advanced analytics (ML/AI) based use cases.
- Influence Information Strategy by partnering with leadership teams in business units and leadership teams to provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access and use.
- Co-ordinate with ABF/Twinings Security and Compliance teams to ensure new or existing solutions of new and existing solutions.
- Create and own architecture diagrams for cloud based solutions that conform to best practices and the ability to transform this down to implementation phases to be handed over to Engineering teams.
- For both local and global initiatives, provide architectural support to ensure solutions conform to our Global D&A; strategy, with a roadmap and plan that allows us to move from current state to the future state as well as end state
- Support and influence local initiatives with a view of global alignment on technology and delivery.




- Partner with IT Teams globally to understand information challenges across ERP and other systems and own the delivery strategy across all source systems, internal and external.
- Co-own our charter for being a data-driven organisation, focussing on delivering technical solutions that drive adoption and self service, creating an empowered user base.
- Build an understanding of future needs, direction, ambition and risks for each BU and functional area and communicate with technical teams to own platform/solution architecture.
- Participate in sprint planning sessions with the project team, aligning dependencies, highlighting risks and estimating efforts.
- Build and maintain an understanding of the analytics technology landscape, researching emerging trends and how to exploit for our business benefit and value.
- Co-create compelling business cases by:

- Building an understanding of Twinings Ovo value drivers to clearly articulate benefits for projects.
- Helping business partners communicate the solution value to key stakeholders.

- Prototype and co-design for innovative data & analytics solutions. Evaluate tools & tech to enhance platform and solutions.
- Participate in Technology supplier/product vendor sourcing selection activities (RFx processes), and commercial negotiations / supplier onboarding processes (define/refine criteria’s to be considered)
- Support the analysis and evaluation of possible impact of changes to the existing application landscape and organisation and plan mitigation actions.
- Support and actively engage in end to end delivery of Analytics projects from design, build, test and deployment, and transition into BAU support.
- Support test activities by ensuring acceptance criteria are well documented and have the appropriate level of coverage, taking responsibility for the design and execution of test cases where appropriate.
- Work with the wider project teams to enable the solutions to be imbedded within the business through the development of communications and training materials.
- Ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation and Twinings policies
- Act as a role model for Twinings Ovo values (champion of BizTech culture, nurture and develop capabilities (Business and Technical)).

Key Responsibilities

- Minimum 12 years’ experience in architecting D&A; solutions with a focus on owning the technical framework for the end to end landscape.
- Background in analytics, and familiarity with how analytics/data-driven organisations embed data as a first class citizen. Deep understanding of the D&A; technology space with a focus on SaaS/Cloud products.
- Problem solving skills,



including being able to bring expertise in structured analysis and design and programming skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including influencing skills.
- Able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to truly understand the underlying needs of the business.
- Ability to influence decision making, comfortable with challenging and being challenged.
- Experience of working with teams in multiple locations, and remotely
- Effective conceptualization and pattern recognition skills.
- CPG industry experience
- Experience of working in a rapid-paced international business, comfortable with change and ambiguity. Able to deliver change to the business.
- Thirst for knowledge, questions, seeks to understand and continues to learn. Excited by and keeps up to date with latest Technology developments. Proactively looking outside and proposing ideas
- A self-manager and motivator, able to prioritise and recognise when ownership and escalation appropriate
- Ability to work in a matrix organisation
- Awareness of Cyber Security and Information Security

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Cloud Environments

- Azure experience preferred. Experience of implementing solutions in cloud environments using native/3rd party tools is preferred, including building continuous ingestion and hybrid data lake/warehouse solutions with full auditability and traceability. Understanding of Serverless and SaaS products offered, their strengths and appropriate use cases.

- Azure certifications are beneficial.

DWH Tools

- Snowflake or experience of similar analytics focussed tools like Synapse, Vertica, DB Delta lake etc. Deep understanding of parallel processing methodologies including MPP and shared nothing architectures.
- Knowledge of SAP Analytics technologies (SAP BW/4, SAP Analytics on Cloud) etc. are a plus.

ETL

- Experience with Talend or other GUI based ETL tools, including best practices for performance, monitoring and error logging.
- Experience with implementing hybrid solutions of above with Big data technologies like Spark/DataBricks etc.

Data Modelling & Data Lake

- Expertise with designing Analytical data models based on requirements. Proficiency in resolving modelling issues like double counting, dimension-dimension relationships etc.
- Expertise in implementing a tiered data lake with different consumption layers.
- Understanding of various file formats relevant in Data lakes and expertise of creating recommendations based on use case and persona.
- Experience of modelling optimized dataflows in BW/4, including integration patterns with non SAP technologies

Business Intelligence

- PowerBI or equivalent.

Experience designing self service models in BI tools that are refreshed and monitored in an automated manner.

- SAP Analytics on Cloud is a plus

Programming Language

- Not compulsory but any Python/Scala (Data Engineering focussed) experience, including modules like Pandas, Numpy, Keras etc. is a plus
