Role Summary
At Zalaris, we simplify HR and payroll administration for organisations across Europe. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Cyber Security Operations Analyst L2 to strengthen our Security Operations Centre (SOC) and help safeguard our systems, data, and customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to security events and incidents across our enterprise environment. You will work closely with senior security specialists and IT teams to identify threats, analyse risks, and contribute to a robust security posture.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using security monitoring platforms and SIEM tools
- Investigate and analyse security incidents, alerts, and suspicious activities
- Respond to incidents and ensure timely resolution within defined SLAs
- Escalate complex or non-standard incidents to senior security analysts and shift leads
- Track incidents through their full lifecycle and ensure proper documentation
- Assist L2 and L3 security teams with investigations and incident response activities
- Support threat detection and vulnerability assessment activities
- Contribute to security awareness and provide guidance on cyber security best practices
- Follow established security procedures, playbooks, and operational processes
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cyber Security Operations, SOC, Incident Response, or a related security role
- Ability to work in a 24/7 SOC environment
- Hands-on experience with incident investigation and response in a large enterprise environment
- Experience working with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, ELK, or Microsoft Sentinel
- Experience with Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions, preferably Microsoft Defender
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security technologies
- Good understanding of cloud security concepts and platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Knowledge of cyber threats, attack techniques, threat actors, Indicators of Compromise (IOC), and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP)
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK; framework
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field
Nice to have
- CEH, CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or similar security certifications
- Experience with digital forensics and threat hunting
- Exposure to security automation and orchestration tools
- Understanding of emerging cyber security risks, including AI-related threats
