Role Description The Cyber Security Architect will design, review, and enhance security architectures across applications, networks, and cloud or on-premises infrastructure. In this full-time remote role, the architect will define security requirements, select appropriate controls, and create reference architectures aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting threat modeling, risk assessments, and design reviews; collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed security in solution designs; and overseeing the integration of security tools and technologies.

The role also involves developing security patterns and guidelines, supporting incident response and remediation planning,



and preparing clear documentation and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Security Architecture Design and Information Security, including developing end-to-end security frameworks and governance models.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, and reviewing application designs for vulnerabilities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, including designing secure network segments, implementing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection or prevention controls.
- Candidates should possess skills in Cybersecurity, including risk assessment, security controls selection, and familiarity with common attack vectors and defensive strategies.
- Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, OWASP) and experience applying them in practical architectures.
- Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), identity and access management, encryption, and log management or SIEM solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, or similar) are an advantage.
