Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers will support NPCIL’s outreach and engagement activities by managing and guiding a network of volunteers in a part-time, remote capacity. This role involves recruiting and onboarding volunteers, organizing and delivering training sessions, and ensuring volunteers understand NPCIL’s mission, safety priorities, and community-focused initiatives.
The coordinator will schedule volunteer activities, maintain regular communication, and provide ongoing support and feedback to help volunteers succeed in their roles. Day-to-day tasks include developing volunteer resources, tracking participation, coordinating virtual meetings, and collaborating with internal teams to align volunteer efforts with NPCIL’s programs. The role also requires monitoring the effectiveness of volunteer involvement and recommending improvements to strengthen community outreach.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in volunteer management and volunteer training, with experience coordinating groups or community initiatives.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and support volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in community outreach or public engagement, preferably in a socially impactful or mission-driven organization.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools, basic office software, and maintaining organized records of volunteer activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a part-time remote setting.
- Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and adherence to organizational policies and guidelines.
- Relevant educational background in social work, public administration, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
- Prior experience working with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, or community programs is an advantage.
