Role Summary

We are looking for a Content Editor & Marketer to own our visibility across both traditional and AI-driven search. This role combines classic SEO with Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — ensuring our content ranks on Google, is featured in AI Overviews, and is cited by tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini when users search for related products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute SEO and AEO strategies to improve organic visibility on search engines and AI-generated answers.
- Structure content with clear entity definitions, direct answers, schema markup, and comparison-friendly formats optimized for both search algorithms and AI models.
- Monitor and track how Cartrabbit's products are represented in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews; identify gaps versus competitors and address them.
- Use AI writing and research tools to draft and scale content production, while applying strong editorial judgment to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Edit and review all published content to maintain a consistent brand voice, eliminate unnecessary filler, and ensure all claims are supported by data or sources.
- Conduct competitive content analysis to identify ranking and citation opportunities, and develop content to capture them.




- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to align content strategy with business goals.

Required Qualifications

- 2+ years of content writing/editing experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in eCommerce, retail technology, or marketing tools.
- Working knowledge of AEO/GEO principles — how AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity select and cite sources — or strong aptitude to learn quickly.
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals: keyword research, search intent analysis, on-page optimization, and schema markup.
- Proficiency with AI writing/research tools and SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
- A portfolio demonstrating content that has ranked, converted, or been cited by AI tools, with supporting performance data.
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to consistently meet content deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience building or contributing to an AEO/GEO strategy from the ground up.
- Familiarity with the eCommerce SaaS competitive landscape.
