As a Quality Engineer, you will plan and conduct a wide range of software quality engineering activities to ensure application products and services meet organizational quality standards and end-user requirements. This role focuses heavily on test automation, quality strategy, release validation, risk-based testing, and continuous quality improvement.

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant-level Quality Engineer / Test Automation Lead who can combine deep hands-on automation expertise with leadership capabilities to drive quality across Agile delivery teams.

Business Justification

We are seeking a Test Automation Developer for a Consultant-level Quality Engineer Team Lead role. This position is responsible for planning and conducting a broad range of software quality engineering activities to ensure products and services meet organizational standards and end-user needs, with a strong emphasis on:

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on automation experience with the ability to lead quality strategy across Agile delivery teams, guide associates, and improve speed to delivery through scalable, risk-based, and secure testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Engineering Leadership

- Lead quality engineering activities across moderate to complex initiatives.
- Serve Quality Engineering Leadership as a technical lead and quality advocate for Agile teams.
- Guide and mentor associates on automation standards, testing practices, and engineering discipline.
- Promote a quality-first mindset across the software development lifecycle.

Test Automation

- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and solutions.
- Drive automation across functional, integration, regression, system, and release testing.




- Identify automation opportunities through requirements, user stories, and technical design reviews.
- Align automation solutions with company's automated testing reference architecture.

Test Strategy & Planning

- Develop and manage test strategies, test plans, quality metrics, and reporting.
- Establish risk-based testing approaches that balance quality, speed, and efficiency.
- Define release readiness and quality gates for deployments.

Release & Quality Assurance

- Define release testing strategies across all phases of the release lifecycle.
- Coordinate and oversee release validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with release management processes, governance, and timelines.
- Drive continuous quality improvements throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Test Data & Environment Management

- Partner with Architecture, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to establish effective test environment and test data management strategies.
- Ensure test environments support reliable and scalable testing.

Defect & Issue Management

- Lead defect identification, tracking, triage, and resolution activities.
- Analyze moderate to complex quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Remove blockers and drive issue resolution across teams.

Secure Testing

- Apply secure software engineering and testing practices throughout the SDLC.
- Ensure products and solutions are protected against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Support security, compliance, and vulnerability testing initiatives.

Continuous Integration & Delivery

- Support CI/CD adoption through automation and continuous testing practices.
- Improve delivery efficiency by integrating quality engineering practices into pipelines and development workflows.

- 8+ Years (6+ Relevant) of Quality Engineering and Test Automation experience.

- Experience leading testing activities for medium to large-scale applications.

Education & Certifications : Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
