Role & responsibilities
Support the Construction Manager in handling AIS / GIS Substation projects.
Execute substation projects with selected vendors within defined timelines, cost and quality requirements.
Coordinate with substation vendors, EPC contractors and OEMs to ensure smooth project execution.
Support construction activities and ensure adherence to project execution plans, quality standards and safety requirements.
Apply sound techno-commercial knowledge across construction management, contracts, quality and safety aspects.
Coordinate with local authorities and relevant stakeholders for applicable statutory clearances and approvals.
Monitor construction progress and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve project-related issues.
Support the Construction Manager in ensuring timely completion of construction activities as per project requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
Hands-on experience in construction of 400kV and 765kV AIS / GIS Substations, preferably with major utilities in India.
Experience working with reputed OEMs / EPC companies such as Siemens, ABB, GE, L&T;, KEC, Kalpataru, Techno, etc.
Strong understanding of substation construction activities and project execution.
Sound techno-commercial understanding of construction management, contracts, quality and safety aspects.
Good knowledge of safe construction practices for Power Transmission assets.
Knowledge of Transmission Line construction activities such as surveying, tower spotting, civil construction, tower erection and stringing would be an added advantage.
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills, particularly for interaction with statutory authorities.
Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, EPC contractors, OEMs, local authorities and internal stakeholders.
Solid project execution, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Proactive approach with focus on timely execution, cost, quality and safety.
