Role Description The Composite Engineer will work on the design, analysis, and development of composite structures and components for various engineering applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing composite layup designs, selecting materials, supporting prototyping activities, and optimizing manufacturing processes for composite parts.

The role involves coordinating with design, testing, and production teams, performing failure analysis, and ensuring that composite solutions meet performance, quality, and safety requirements. Documentation of design decisions, preparation of technical reports, and support for client and internal reviews are also part of the responsibilities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications





- Strong foundation in composite materials engineering, including knowledge of fiber-reinforced polymers, resin systems, and laminates.
- Experience with composite design and analysis tools (e.g., CAD software, FEA for composite structures, laminate theory applications).
- Hands-on experience with composite manufacturing processes such as layup, vacuum bagging, molding, curing, and quality inspection.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards related to composite materials and structures.
- Solid understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and failure modes of composite components.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in design, testing, and production.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, renewable energy, or other composite-intensive industries is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and engage in hands-on prototyping and manufacturing activities.
