TCI Foundation an autonomous organization works in the development and implementation of national development programs/projects in coordination with the Government, Public Sector Undertakings, National and International development agencies to serve the nation with motto of equality and better life for all citizens in the country.

TCI Foundation invites applications for position of Community Health Worker purely on contractual basis. The selected candidate on this position would be required to provide optometric services to the truck drivers and allied population plying on national and state highways.

(i) Posting Location:

The position shall be based at following location:

(a) JNPT (Uran, Maharashtra) one position

(ii) Responsibilities:

a) Develop the work plan in consultation with the Optometrist and VC team b) Collect, analyses and interpret the data.

c) Education work in the assigned area.

d) Generating awareness on eyecare e) Regular maintenance of records of field activities, camps, and other registers.

f) Ensure preparation and display of relevant maps and charts in the vision centre.

g) Assist the Optometrist/Asst. Optometrist in conducting vision camps and generating awareness amongst the community on eyecare h)



Organize the celebration of health days and weeks and publicity programs at local fairs, on market days, etc.

i) Distribution of IEC materials j) Organize population education and health education sessions.

k) Prepare a monthly report on the progress of educational activities.

(iii) Working Hours: 9000 hrs to 1730 hrs

(iv) Required Skills:

- good knowledge of local community and local language
- Should have strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in small teams.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability

(v) Required Education and Experience:

Graduation in any stream or 10+2 with valuable knowledge of local language.

(vi) Nature of appointment: The appointment will be on contract basis initially till 31 March 2027 and thereafter extendable for specified period based on performance appraisal to be assessed for work output, personal attributes, functional competency etc and continuation of project by the Grantor.

(vii) Reporting: Immediate Reporting will be to Sr. Vice President, TCIL or any person authorised by him and shall keep them fully informed of all steps and actions taken by the Consultant in the performance of its obligations.
