Job purpose

Primarily responsible for mobilization and creating awareness about breast cancer and its prevention

Duties and responsibilities

 To conduct awareness sessions, mobilize and triage patients

 Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, leaders, and local organizations.

 Mobilize the target population and encourage participation in cancer awareness and screening activities.

 Organize and facilitate awareness sessions about the importance of cancer screening and early detection.

 Utilize various outreach methods, including videos and Q&A; sessions, to effectively convey information.

 Educate community members, particularly those at higher risk, about the importance of regular cancer screening.

 Address concerns and misconceptions related to breast health and cancer.

 Identify individuals within the community who meet the program's inclusion criteria for screening.

 Maintain records of potential participants and refer them to the screening process.

 Gather relevant demographic information and data on community members' knowledge levels regarding cancer screening.





 Collaborate closely with the Cluster Coordinator and other program staff to ensure effective communication and coordination.

 Connect with local leaders and Self Help Groups for their support for awareness

 Regular follow-up with identified ‘at risk’ beneficiaries

 Hands On MS Excel Skills

 Behavioural Competencies: Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills and Analytical Skills

Qualifications / Certifications

 BSW/ MSW

 Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience

 Familiarity with basics of MS Office (preferable)

 Experienced in field visits

 Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal)

 Valuable interpersonal skills

Working conditions

 Should be open to travel for executing the job responsibilities.

Technical / Physical requirements

Job location: Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Delhi, Cochin, Kottayam, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Indore, Meerut, Murshidabad, Amravati, Rajkot, Dharampur, Warangal, Vyara, Faridabad.

Timings: 8 hours

Workdays: 6 days a week

Required Languages

Able to Speak, Read and Write in English and Local Language.
