Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cockroach DB Database Administrator (DBA) to install, configure, administer, monitor, and optimize Cockroach DB (CRDB) environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in distributed database technologies, cluster management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, high availability, and database security.

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration

- Install, configure, and maintain Cockroach DB clusters in development, test, and production environments.
- Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and security
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Exposure to Logical and Physical replication.
- Hardware requirement
- Installation
- Basics of CRDB, features of CRDB, adavantages of CRDB over RDBMS and or nosql




- Upgrade (minor version and major) and downgrade
- Setup Local/Single-Node/Multi-Node Cluster
- Create Database, User, Table and Index etc
- Security standards and Auditing
- SQL Tuning with EXPLAIN, Replication & Rebalancing, Fault Tolerance & Recovery
- SwitchOver Physical Cluster Replication (PCR)
- Cluster Patching
