Key Responsibilities

- Contact customers via phone, email or in person to collect overdue payments.

- Follow up on outstanding invoices and negotiate payment plans when required.

- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status.

- Monitor aging reports and prioritise high-risk accounts.

- Resolve customer queries related to billing and payment discrepancies.

- Coordinate with internal teams Sales, Finance and Legal for dispute resolution.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable collection laws.

- Achieve monthly collection targets and reduce delinquency ratios.

- Escalate non-responsive or high-risk accounts as per the escalation matrix.

Preferred

- Prior experience in collections or recovery at an NBFC, bank, fintech or collection agency.

- Exposure to digital lending, personal loans, short-term credit or salary advance products.

- Familiarity with delinquency buckets, DPD stages, roll rates and recovery metrics.

- Awareness of RBI Digital Lending Guidelines, the Fair Practices Code and recovery agent conduct norms.
