About the Role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Manager to lead and manage CNC machining operations, production planning, process optimization, quality, and team performance.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with SolidCAM and solid knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, tooling, production planning, and shop-floor management.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Operations & Production

- Plan, supervise, and manage day-to-day CNC machining operations.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Manage CNC machines including 3–4 axis and Swiss-type / sliding-head machines.
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, cycle times, and downtime.
- Optimize machining processes to improve productivity and reduce rejection and material wastage.
- Ensure proper machine setup, tooling, workholding, and production parameters.

SolidCAM & CNC Programming — Mandatory

- Hands-on experience with SolidCAM is mandatory.
- Create, modify, simulate, and optimize CNC machining programs using SolidCAM.
- Develop efficient toolpaths based on engineering drawings and machining requirements.
- Optimize cutting strategies, feeds, speeds, tooling, and cycle times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining-related issues.
- Review and optimize G-code / M-code generated for CNC machines.

Tooling & Process Management
- Handle tooling selection, guide bushings,



bar feeders, sub-spindles, and workholding arrangements.
- Ensure appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters are selected for different components.
- Support development and implementation of machining processes for new components.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cycle-time reduction, and productivity enhancement.

Quality & Inspection
- Ensure components are manufactured as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Monitor first-off and in-process inspection.
- Ensure proper use of micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Analyze rejection and rework and implement corrective actions.

Team Management
- Lead and supervise CNC operators, setters, programmers, and shop-floor personnel.
- Allocate manpower and machines according to production requirements.
- Train and mentor team members on machine operation, setup, programming, safety, and process requirements.
- Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to production procedures.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance and breakdown resolution.




- Identify recurring machine/process issues and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure machines, tooling, and production equipment are maintained properly.

Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain production reports, machine utilization records, rejection/rework data, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
- Maintain proper records related to CNC operations and production performance.

Candidate Profile Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of relevant CNC machining experience, preferably with experience in a supervisory/managerial role.

Must-Have Skills

SolidCAM – Mandatory / Must-Have

Strong CNC programming and machining knowledge

Experience with 3–4 axis CNC / Swiss-type / sliding-head machines

Knowledge of G-code & M-code

Strong understanding of tooling, feeds & speeds, and machining processes

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc / Citizen / Tsugami

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
