1. Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible CNC Machine Operator to operate CNC machines for manufacturing precision mechanical components used in our industrial automation, aquaculture, wastewater-treatment and IoT-enabled products. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, tool setting, workpiece loading/unloading, dimensional inspection, basic troubleshooting, and maintaining production quality and safety standards.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Machine Operation

- Operate CNC machines such as CNC Turning, CNC Milling, VMC or similar machines.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Set workpieces, fixtures, tools and offsets as per drawings and process sheets.
- Run CNC programs and monitor machining operations.
- Perform basic program corrections/offset adjustments where required.
- Monitor cutting parameters such as RPM, feed rate and depth of cut.
- Identify abnormal machine sounds, vibration, tool wear and machining defects.

Drawing & Measurement
- Read and understand engineering drawings and mechanical dimensions.
- Understand tolerances, surface finish and basic GD&T; requirements.
- Measure components using:
- Vernier caliper
- Micrometer
- Height gauge
- Bore gauge
- Dial indicator
- Other inspection instruments
- Verify components against drawing dimensions and quality requirements.

Tool & Fixture Management
- Select appropriate cutting tools based on material and machining operation.
- Install and replace inserts, drills, end mills and other cutting tools.
- Monitor tool wear and replace tools when required.
- Maintain proper tool offsets and tool-life records.
- Assist in fixture setting and improvement.

Quality Control
- Perform first-piece inspection before batch production.
- Conduct in-process inspection during machining.
- Identify dimensional and surface-finish defects.




- Ensure components meet specified tolerances.
- Maintain inspection and production records.
- Coordinate with the Quality/Production team regarding non-conforming components.

Maintenance & Safety
- Perform daily machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Check coolant, lubrication and other machine parameters.
- Maintain the CNC machine and work area in clean and secure condition.
- Follow all machine safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Immediately report machine breakdowns, tool failures or unsafe conditions.

1. Candidate Requirements

Education

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machining Technology, Production Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

- 1–3 years of experience as a CNC Operator preferred.
- Fresh ITI/Diploma candidates with good practical knowledge may also be considered.

Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of CNC machining.
- Knowledge of CNC turning/milling/VMC operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of tolerances and fits.
- Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code is preferred.
- Knowledge of CNC controller such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc. will be an advantage.

1. Preferred Skills

- Experience machining MS, SS304/SS316, aluminium and other engineering materials.
- Experience with prototype as well as batch production.
- Basic understanding of CAD drawings.
- Ability to identify machining defects and troubleshoot basic issues.
- Good discipline and attention to dimensional accuracy.




- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and learn new machines/processes.

1. Working Conditions

- Work will involve operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidate must follow prescribed safety procedures and use PPE.
- Willingness to work in shifts or extended hours when required for production schedules.
- Candidate may be required to support prototype development, new product development and production activities.
