Cluster Manager – Retail Operations

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Cluster Manager to oversee multiple Jaydurga Furnishings stores and take ownership of their sales, profitability, people, inventory and overall operations.

The ideal candidate should be a strong leader who can manage Store Managers, identify performance gaps, implement systems and consistently drive growth across the cluster.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Performance

- Take overall responsibility for sales, targets, margins and profitability across the assigned stores.
- Set monthly/quarterly targets for individual stores and teams.
- Analyse store-wise performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Track enquiries, quotations, conversions, follow-ups and repeat customers.
- Develop strategies to improve conversion rates, average bill value and overall sales.
- Identify underperforming stores and implement corrective action plans.

Store & Operations Management

- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of multiple stores.
- Ensure all stores follow company SOPs, processes and operating standards.
- Conduct regular store visits and audits.
- Ensure proper store presentation, merchandising, cleanliness and customer experience.
- Monitor billing, cash handling, collections and operational controls.
- Coordinate with warehouse, accounts, procurement and management to ensure smooth operations.

Inventory Management

- Monitor stock levels, ready stock, stock movement and ageing inventory across stores.




- Ensure optimum stock availability without unnecessary overstocking.
- Track slow-moving and non-moving inventory and develop plans to improve movement.
- Coordinate stock transfers between stores where required.
- Minimise stock discrepancies, damages and losses.

Team & People Management

- Directly manage and develop Store Managers and their teams.
- Set clear KRAs/KPIs and performance expectations.
- Review individual and store-level performance regularly.
- Coach Store Managers on leadership, sales and team management.
- Identify training requirements and coordinate with HR for employee development.
- Support recruitment and manpower planning for stores.
- Build a culture of accountability, discipline and high performance.
- Recognise high performers and address performance issues promptly.

Customer Experience

- Ensure consistent customer service standards across all stores.
- Handle and resolve escalated customer complaints.
- Identify recurring customer issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure teams have strong product knowledge and customer-handling skills.

Reporting & Analysis

- Prepare and review regular store-wise performance reports.
- Track:
- Sales vs target
- Gross margins
- Conversion rates
- Average transaction value
- Enquiries and quotations
- Follow-ups
- Inventory
- Collections




- Manpower and productivity
- Present key insights and action plans to senior management.

Process Improvement

- Identify operational gaps across stores and implement improvements.
- Help develop and strengthen retail SOPs, systems and reporting formats.
- Standardise successful practices across stores.
- Introduce new ideas to improve sales, productivity, customer experience and profitability.
- Work closely with management on expansion and scaling of the retail network.

Requirements
- 6–12 years of experience in retail operations, preferably managing multiple stores.
- Proven experience managing Store Managers and large teams.
- Strong understanding of sales, retail operations, inventory and profitability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working with targets, KPIs and performance data.
- Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and retail/ERP software.
- Willingness to travel between stores regularly.
- Experience in furnishings, furniture, home décor, lifestyle or other multi-location retail is preferred.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who can act as the link between senior management and individual stores—someone who doesn't just monitor stores but actively drives their performance.

The ideal candidate should be able to lead Store Managers, increase sales, improve processes, control inventory and costs, develop people and build a scalable retail operation.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
