Role summary

We are hiring a Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure / Platform team and help build and operate production infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will work under guidance of senior engineers on day-to-day cloud operations, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, and managed data services while learning how production systems are kept reliable and secure.

This role suits candidates with 0–2 years of experience (including robust freshers with hands-on labs or internships) who want deep technical ownership over time, not a ticket-only support desk.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with day-2 operations on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Registry (ACR) deployments, basic troubleshooting, and health checks under senior guidance
- Support Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, release steps, and operational runbooks; improve documentation as you learn
- Help operate Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Virtual Machines for routine configuration and change tasks
- Monitor and triage alerts using Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure Managed Prometheus, and Grafana; escalate with clear notes
- Support operational tasks for Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Cache for Redis, and Kafka / Azure Event Hubs (backup checks, connectivity, basic scale/restart playbooks not DBA ownership)
- Follow identity and secrets hygiene using Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, and Azure Key Vault, with senior review on all access changes
- Use Azure CLI, Automation runbooks, and simple scripts to reduce repetitive manual work




- Participate in incident response by shadowing seniors; write post-incident notes and update runbooks
- Apply basic security and cost hygiene aligned with Microsoft Defender for Cloud findings and FinOps guidance from the team

Requirements — must-have
- Solid Linux fundamentals (shell, processes, logs, file permissions)
- Networking basics (DNS, HTTP/TLS, firewalls / NSGs at a conceptual level)
- Hands-on with Docker and Git
- Azure fundamentals (portal + one of: VMs, storage, networking, or App Services)
- Clear written communication and willingness to learn Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code on the job

Requirements — nice-to-have
- Exposure to AKS / kubectl
- Terraform and/or Azure CLI (az)
- Azure DevOps pipelines
- Log Analytics / KQL queries
- Certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or CKAD

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience through projects, internships, or production exposure.

Soft skills

- Ownership of assigned tasks through to closure or clear handoff
- Disciplined escalation (what failed, what was tried, impact, next ask)
- Documentation habit (runbooks, change notes)
- Learning velocity and comfort asking precise questions

Pay: ₹250,188.13 - ₹405,270.16 per year
