As an Application Development Cloud Consultant, you will work directly with Googles most strategic customers on critical application development and modernization projects to help them transform their businesses. You will provide consulting, program management and technical expertise to customers while working with client executives and key technical leaders to drive adoption of up-to-date application patterns and paradigms via Google’s Cloud Platform.

You will also work closely with key Google partners currently servicing top accounts to manage programs, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance and best practice expertise.

You possess a broad skill set including software engineering, architecture design, distributed systems,

container technologies, and deployment strategies. To be successful, you know how to navigate ambiguity, have extensive experience working with cloud technologies, have technical depth and enjoy working with client executives. You also possess excellent communication and project management skills. Travel approximately 30% of the time for client engagements.

Responsibilities

- Work with customer development leads, client executives, and partners to manage and

deliver successful, modern, cloud applications, becoming a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
- Work with internal specialists, product and engineering teams to package approaches, best

practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies and published assets.
- Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope,

priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
- Advocate for customers needs to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature

development based on your field experience.
- Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud native application





development solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementation best practices. Must have skills/ Qualifications (MQs)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical

experience) with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical client service, consulting, or systems integration role launching software into production
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently to act as a primary technical point of contact for

strategic client engagements
- Experience leading client discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and collaborative

white-boarding to map user journeys and define system requirements
- High curiosity with the ability to rapidly master new business domains, client technical stacks,

and Google Cloud services to apply them to real-world scenarios

Engineering and Delivery Skills

- Software Engineering Core: Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithm design,

advanced data structures, and deep fluency in at least 1 object oriented language (Python preferred) and GitFlow version control
- Practical experience writing unit tests (e.g., Pytest) and validating code across all staging

gates, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Full-Stack Solution Architecture: Practical experience designing application backends and

frontends for performance, scalability, security, and integration with databases. Deep knowledge of relevant design patterns, including microservices and fan-out architectures
- Distributed System Resiliency: Hands-on experience implementing distributed resiliency





patterns at the software and platform layer, eg circuit breakers, retries, and fallbacks
- Agentic System Orchestration: Mandatory knowledge of agentic workflows, including tool

development, multi-agent frameworks, MCP and API integrations for autonomous agent architectures
- API Design & Implementation: Proficiency in API-led design, utilizing OpenAPI/Swagger

schemas and contracts to build and implement secure, robust application interfaces
- Containerization & CI/CD Pipelines: Mastery of containerization (e.g., Docker) and the

hands-on deployment, scaling, and production hosting expectations on Cloud Run and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), combined with the ability to design and build custom CI/CD pipelines
- Application Observability: Practical knowledge of application telemetry, including selecting

and implementing standard strategies for distributed tracing, profiling, and logging (eg

OpenTelemetry)

- GCP Architect or GCP Developer Certification

Preferred good to have skills
- Agent Development Kit: Experience building autonomous workflows utilizing the Google

Cloud Agent Development Kit (ADK).
- Experience with additional software languages (Java, Go, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
- FastAPI: High-value experience using FastAPI to construct high-performance microservices

and agentic tools.
- Practical familiarity with advanced data patterns like CQRS, object-entity mapping, and

integrating high-performance NoSQL databases (e.g., Firestore, Redis) in coordination with data teams
- Clear understanding of advanced software delivery release strategies and their operational

trade-offs, such as canary releases and blue-green deployments.
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience provisioning and managing project-specific cloud

resources using Terraform.
- Identity & Security Integrations: Familiarity with Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), OAuth 2.0/OIDC

flows, and secure secrets management.
