Role Description This is a full time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Mumbai.

The Chartered

Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, bookkeeping, and oversight of accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing budgets, performing financial analysis, and ensuring statutory compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating audits, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cost control initiatives, and providing financial insights to management for decision-making.

Accountant will collaborate closely with internal teams, external auditors, and consultants to support the company’s growth and financial stability.

Qualifications

- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) with valid membership in the relevant governing body.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and corporate taxation.
- Experience with budgeting, financial planning, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel and other financial tools.
- Understanding of statutory compliance, GST, TDS, and other regulatory frameworks applicable to Indian companies.
- Experience coordinating internal and external audits and responding to audit queries.
- Ability to interpret financial data, prepare management reports, and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams on-site in Mumbai.
- Prior experience in startups, manufacturing, energy, or technology sectors is an advantage.
