Job Title: Integration Software Engineer (ES-Geophysics)
: The Integration Software Engineer role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining subsurface software applications. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, and integrate cloud-native geophysics workflows supporting seismic processing, imaging, and inversion. Key skills include C++, Linux, HPC, Azure, and application integration.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance C++ code for seismic data workflows.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to translate domain workflows into robust software applications that reduce subsurface uncertainty and cycle times.
- Build and integrate workflows that support ingestion and processing of large-scale seismic datasets.
- Enable execution of seismic workflows in cloud-based or hybrid HPC environments
and optimize compute performance and data movement.
- Ensure software quality, usability, and performance through unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployment strategies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Provide technical mentorship and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in geology, geophysics, computer science, or engineering (master's degree preferred).
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry with subsurface geology and geophysics domain knowledge.
- Proficiency in C++, Linux, Azure services, and DevOps.
- Experience with multi-thread/parallel computing, AI/ML, HPC, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge and working experience of software architecture & design patterns.
- Understanding authentication and cybersecurity protocols including OAuth.
- Familiarity with fundamental Subsurface inversion algorithms like FWI and LSTRM is a strong plus.
