- About the Role

Trafotech Systems Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced, commercially driven and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the overall growth and development of the organisation.

The CEO will be responsible for business growth, revenue generation, profitability, strategic planning, customer development, power-sector relationships, project acquisition, tender business, OEM partnerships, operations and team leadership.

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in the power, electrical, EPC, infrastructure, engineering solutions or related B2B project-based industries and should have the ability to independently create new business opportunities and convert them into sustainable revenue.

The CEO will work closely with the promoters/Board to establish Trafotech as a stronger and more scalable organisation in the power and electrical engineering sector.

- Key Objective of the Role The primary objective of the CEO is to:

Build the business → Generate new opportunities → Convert opportunities into orders → Generate revenue → Protect margins → Deliver projects successfully → Build long-term customer relationships → Expand the organisation.

The CEO will have overall accountability for the company's business performance, strategic direction, financial growth and organisational development.

- Business Growth & Revenue Generation

- Develop and execute Trafotech's overall business growth strategy.
- Take direct ownership of revenue generation and profitable business development.
- Identify new markets, customers, projects and business opportunities.
- Build a strong and sustainable sales and project pipeline.
- Personally develop relationships with major customers and decision-makers.
- Generate new leads through industry networking, strategic relationships, customer visits, consultants, EPCs, OEMs and market intelligence.
- Convert leads into enquiries, tenders, orders and repeat business.
- Develop strategies for achieving short-term and long-term revenue targets.
- Identify opportunities for geographical and product-line expansion.
- Review sales performance and take corrective actions where required.

4. Power-Sector & Industry Business Development The CEO should actively develop business in:
- Power Generation
- Power Transmission
- Power Distribution
- Government Utilities
- State Electricity Utilities
- EPC Contractors
- Industrial Customers
- Infrastructure Projects
- Substation Projects
- Transformer Projects
- Retrofit & Modernisation Projects
- Greenfield Projects
- O&M; Services

The CEO should maintain strong relationships with senior officials, decision-makers, EPC companies, consultants, OEMs and industrial clients.
- Strategic Customer Development

- Develop and maintain relationships with key strategic customers.
- Identify major upcoming projects and customer requirements.
- Arrange senior-level meetings, technical presentations and business discussions.
- Develop account-wise growth strategies.
- Ensure strong customer engagement before, during and after project execution.
- Build long-term relationships that result in repeat and referral business.
- Resolve major customer concerns in coordination with relevant departments.

6. Tender & Project Acquisition The CEO will provide strategic direction for Trafotech's tender-driven business.

Responsibilities include

- Review major tenders and strategic opportunities.
- Evaluate commercial and technical attractiveness of large projects.
- Participate in Go/No-Go decisions.
- Review pricing strategy and project margins.
- Ensure appropriate management approval before major bid submissions.
- Support negotiations with customers and EPC contractors.
- Monitor major tender outcomes.
- Develop strategies to improve order conversion.
- Ensure that high-value projects are commercially viable before commitment.

7. OEM & Strategic Partnership Development





Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with:

- Global OEMs
- Indian OEMs
- Technology providers
- Electrical equipment manufacturers
- EPC companies
- System integrators
- Engineering consultants
- Specialist subcontractors

The CEO will evaluate opportunities for:
- Channel partnerships
- Strategic alliances
- Joint bidding
- Technology partnerships
- Product representation
- Joint marketing
- Project-specific collaborations
- New product introductions

8. Trafotech Product & Solution Expansion The CEO will support the growth of Trafotech's existing and future portfolio, including areas such as:
- Power Transformer Solutions
- Generator Transformer Solutions
- Transformer Protection Systems
- Transformer Fire Safety Systems
- Transformer Monitoring Systems
- Online Transformer Monitoring
- OIP / RIP / RIS Bushings
- GIS-related Solutions
- Integrated Command & Control Systems
- Substation Retrofit & Modernisation
- Greenfield Projects
- Retrofit & Technology Upgradation
- O&M; and Service Solutions

The CEO should continuously evaluate new technologies, products and services that can create additional revenue streams.

- Financial & Commercial Management

- Take overall responsibility for business profitability.
- Monitor revenue, gross margins, operating costs and cash flow.
- Review major quotations and commercial proposals.
- Ensure appropriate pricing and margin discipline.
- Review project profitability.
- Monitor receivables and cash-flow requirements.
- Work closely with Finance & Accounts on financial planning.
- Establish appropriate financial controls.
- Review major contracts and commercial commitments.
- Ensure business growth does not compromise financial sustainability.

10. Operations & Project Execution
- Provide strategic oversight of project execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, quality and commercial commitments.
- Review major project status and risks.
- Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Procurement, Production and Service teams.
- Resolve critical project-level issues.
- Ensure effective coordination between business-development and execution teams.
- Establish systems for tracking project performance.

11. Organisation & Team Leadership
- Build a professional, accountable and performance-driven organisation.
- Recruit and develop senior management and key personnel.
- Establish clear responsibilities and reporting structures.
- Set departmental objectives and performance indicators.
- Conduct regular management reviews.
- Mentor senior managers and department heads.
- Develop future leadership within the organisation.
- Promote discipline, accountability and cross-functional coordination.

- Monitor developments in the power and electrical industry.
- Identify market trends and emerging technologies.
- Track competitors and their offerings.
- Identify new government and private-sector investments.
- Analyse upcoming power-sector projects.
- Identify potential gaps in the market.
- Develop strategies to position Trafotech competitively.

14. Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Ensure that the organisation operates within applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
- Maintain appropriate governance and approval systems.
- Ensure compliance across finance, HR, contracts, procurement, projects and operations.
- Maintain appropriate risk-management practices.
- Protect company assets, reputation,



intellectual property and confidential information.

16. Required QualificationsPreferred Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- MBA in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent will be an advantage.

Experience

15–25 years of professional experience, preferably with substantial senior-management experience in:

- Industrial Project Business

Candidates with experience as Business Head, General Manager, Vice President, Director, Business Development Head, Sales Head or equivalent senior leadership position will be preferred.
