Role Description The Category Intern will support the category management team in analyzing product performance, reviewing assortments, and helping optimize pricing and promotions across pet product lines. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in data collection and analysis, preparing reports, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and supporting procurement activities within assigned categories. The intern will help track market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to inform category strategies and improve the overall product mix.
This is an internship role, and the position is on-site, based in Delhi, India, providing hands-on experience in a busy retail and pet care environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Category Management and Procurement for supporting product assortment and supplier coordination.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer behavior.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and basic Contract Negotiation skills to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Interest in the pet care or retail industry and willingness to learn category management practices.
- Ability to work in office, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other basic productivity tools for data analysis and reporting.
