Job Title: CAD Support Engineer Mechanical Design

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Support Engineer with experience in mechanical design, drafting, and engineering documentation. The role involves providing CAD support to mechanical design teams, developing and modifying 2D/3D models, preparing manufacturing drawings, and ensuring designs meet engineering and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day CAD support to mechanical design and engineering teams.
- Create, modify, and maintain 2D drawings and 3D mechanical models using CAD software.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, and material specifications.
- Support engineers in developing mechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling.
- Make design changes and revisions based on engineering requirements and customer feedback.
- Maintain drawing revisions, CAD data, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve drawing and design-related issues.
- Support reverse engineering and modification of existing components and assemblies.




- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of CAD and engineering processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in mechanical design, CAD drafting, or CAD engineering support.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo.
- Valuable understanding of mechanical engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, fits, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with 2D drafting and 3D part/assembly modelling.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and convert design concepts into accurate CAD models and drawings.
- Knowledge of BOM creation, drawing revisions, and engineering documentation.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience supporting product development or manufacturing engineering teams.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, machining, fabrication, weldments, or injection-molded components.
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and engineering change processes.
- Understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).

Experience working with international engineering standards and customer drawings.
