Role Overview The Associate 2 will work as a core member of US audit engagement teams and support the delivery of high-quality audit assignments. The role involves applying industry-specific audit and accounting knowledge, completing assigned work within agreed timelines, coordinating with team members and US counterparts, and contributing to continuous process improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work as an integrated member of US audit engagement teams and contribute effectively to assigned audit activities.
- Apply knowledge of industry-specific audit procedures and accounting requirements while executing audit work.
- Prepare and complete audit deliverables with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and agreed turnaround times.
- Identify and communicate issues or exceptions promptly to Seniors, Managers, and engagement team members.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on audit procedures, accounting concepts, client-specific requirements, and working papers.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of audit deliverables wherever required and incorporate feedback from team leads.
- Plan and prioritize assigned activities to maintain both quality and efficiency throughout the audit process.
- Coordinate with US-based rotational teams and engagement team contacts to obtain necessary information and resolve queries.
- Update and enhance audit working papers based on feedback received from the engagement team.
- Identify opportunities for improving audit processes, workflows, and overall delivery efficiency.
- Participate in technical and conceptual audit training sessions and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support organizational initiatives, strategic programs, and corporate social responsibility activities as required.
Candidate Profile / Eligibility
- Qualified CA or US CPA, with or without a Master's degree in Finance & Accounting.
- Minimum 60% / First Division in the relevant qualification.
- Candidates who have successfully completed articleship in line with applicable ICAI requirements.
- Suitable for freshly qualified CAs or candidates with approximately 6 months to 1.5 years of relevant experience.
