Position Summary

Sun Life is seeking experienced Business System Analysts to support the Asia Regional Office (Asia RO) in strengthening market Data Governance Councils and governance-related initiatives.

The role combines business analysis, data governance, stakeholder engagement, research, documentation, and roadmap support. The candidate will work with multiple stakeholders to understand governance requirements, analyze market inputs, and support the operationalization of data governance priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Market Data Governance Council Support

- Support markets in establishing and running Data Governance Councils.
- Prepare agendas, discussion points, meeting materials, and presentations.
- Track council decisions, actions, owners, dependencies, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to drive governance activities.

Governance Operations
- Work with market stakeholders to understand governance priorities.
- Support mapping of Data Owners, Stewards, and Custodians.
- Monitor governance initiatives and action items.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, and common support requirements.

Research & Analysis
- Lead requirements gathering and stakeholder interviews.
- Research data governance best practices and market operating models.




- Analyze market inputs and identify trends and common requirements.
- Prepare insights to support Asia RO roadmap and planning decisions.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain governance trackers, action logs, requirements, and status reports.
- Create management-level presentations and summary reports.
- Document governance processes, templates, and market progress.
- Support roadmap and feature-planning artefacts.

Required Skills
- 8–14 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Data Governance, Data Management, Product Analysis, or Business Systems Analysis.
- Solid requirements-gathering and stakeholder-management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Data Management principles.
- Enterprise or financial-services experience will be an advantage.
