George Maijo Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Body Shop Manager to manage the body shop operations at our Cherthala branch.

The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of relevant experience in the automobile industry, with Maruti Suzuki dealership experience being mandatory. The candidate will be responsible for managing body shop operations, leading the team, ensuring quality repairs, improving productivity, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the body shop.
- Lead and supervise technicians, denting and painting teams, and other body shop staff.
- Plan and monitor denting, painting, accident repair, and vehicle restoration activities.
- Allocate jobs and monitor the progress of repair work.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired and delivered within committed timelines.
- Inspect completed jobs and maintain high-quality repair standards.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, insurance teams, customers, and other departments.
- Manage insurance claim-related repair processes and documentation.
- Monitor body shop productivity, efficiency, revenue, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Handle customer complaints and escalations professionally.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and reduce unnecessary delays.
- Ensure compliance with Maruti Suzuki standards, processes, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular team meetings and monitor individual/team performance.
- Train, guide,



and motivate the body shop team.
- Ensure proper safety, cleanliness, and discipline within the body shop.
- Prepare and review body shop performance reports and implement corrective actions.

Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in automobile body shop operations.
- Maruti Suzuki dealership/body shop experience is mandatory.
- Strong practical knowledge of denting, painting, accident repair, and vehicle restoration.
- Knowledge of insurance claim and accident repair procedures.
- Robust team management and leadership skills.
- Good customer-handling and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good knowledge of body shop KPIs and workshop operations.
- Ability to manage multiple repair jobs and meet delivery targets.
