Position Overview

We seek an experienced BMS Engineer to lead selection and validation of Battery Management Systems for our battery pack designs. This role requires expertise in AFE (Analog Front End) and MCU (Microcontroller Unit) architectures, hardware and firmware validation, DFMEA implementation, and a vehicle-level user perspective on system performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and select BMS platforms, analyzing AFE channel specifications, ADC resolution, MCU processing power, memory constraints, and communication protocols (CAN, RS485)

- Design and execute hardware DVP testing: AFE accuracy, thermal behavior, FET switching, pre-charge circuits, and fault response

- Validate firmware functionality: SOC/SOH algorithms, cell balancing, thermal management, MIL/SIL/HIL testing, and fault injection scenarios

- Lead DFMEA development covering component-level to vehicle-level failure modes, evaluating user impact and mitigation strategies

- Produce comprehensive SOR, DVP/DVR, and DFMEA documentation with explicit traceability and pass/fail criteria

- Support homologation activities (AIS-156, UN38.3) and collaborate cross-functionally with pack design, thermal, and vehicle integration teams
