Billing Auditor

Key Responsibilities

- Audit inpatient and outpatient bills for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify room charges, consultation fees, procedures, investigations, medicines, consumables, and other hospital charges.
- Identify billing errors, omissions, duplicate charges, and discrepancies.
- Cross-check billing entries against medical records, orders, investigation reports, and supporting documents.
- Review package and non-package billing as per approved hospital tariffs and policies.
- Verify insurance and TPA-related billing documentation and deductions.
- Coordinate with billing, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and other departments for clarification and correction of discrepancies.




- Ensure appropriate authorization and supporting documentation for high-value procedures and services.
- Monitor compliance with approved tariffs, billing policies, and hospital procedures.
- Prepare audit reports and maintain records of identified discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Assist in reducing revenue leakage through timely identification of billing gaps.
- Support internal audits and provide required billing-related reports to management.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance,

Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hospital billing, billing audit, insurance/TPA, or healthcare finance.
