Behavior Therapist/Shadow Teacher – Psychology Graduate | Immediate Hire

We are looking for a Junior Psychologist / Psychology Graduate to work as a Shadow Teacher for a child in a mainstream school setting.
The role involves providing one-to-one support to the child during the school day and helping the child participate meaningfully in classroom activities, routines and social interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to the child in the classroom
- Support attention, participation, communication and classroom routines
- Assist the child with academic tasks and classroom activities as required
- Support transitions and appropriate social interaction with peers and teachers
- Observe the child's behaviour, participation and progress
- Maintain brief daily observations/updates as required
- Coordinate professionally with the class teacher and school team
- Follow strategies and guidance provided by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Encourage independence rather than creating dependency on the shadow teacher
Training & Supervision The selected candidate will undergo initial training and orientation to understand the child's needs, communication style, routines and support strategies. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Pediatric Occupational Therapist,
with ongoing supervision and feedback as required.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Child Development / Special Education / Social Work or a related field
- Freshers with positive understanding of child development are welcome to apply
- Prior experience with children or children with special needs is an advantage
- Excellent spoken and written English is essential
- Patient, responsible and comfortable working one-to-one with a child
- Good observation and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and receive supervision
- Must be comfortable working in a school environment
Important The shadow teacher will not independently provide therapy, make clinical decisions, diagnose, or provide therapeutic recommendations to parents. The role is focused on school-based support under professional guidance. Immediate joining preferred.
