BAR MANAGER

Position: Bar Manager

Reports To: F&B; Manager / General Manager / Operations Head

Job Summary The Bar Manager will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the bar, including team management, beverage quality, inventory control, guest satisfaction, sales, cost control, and compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar and ensure smooth service.
- Lead, train, motivate, and supervise bartenders, bar captains, and support staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manage attendance and manpower requirements.
- Ensure excellent guest service and handle guest feedback or complaints professionally.
- Maintain high standards of beverage quality, presentation, and service.
- Develop and maintain cocktail, mocktail, beverage, and bar menus in coordination with management.
- Ensure proper mise en place and readiness of the bar before service.
- Monitor beverage stock, requisitions, receiving, storage, and daily consumption.
- Maintain proper inventory records and conduct regular stock verification.
- Control beverage cost, wastage, breakage, and unauthorized consumption.
- Ensure proper portion control and adherence to standard recipes.
- Monitor daily sales and coordinate with the accounts/finance team for reconciliation.
- Ensure correct operation of POS billing and minimize billing discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar and back-bar area.
- Ensure all bar equipment, glassware, refrigeration, and other facilities are properly maintained.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and F&B; service team for smooth operations.




- Conduct regular briefing sessions and provide product and service training to the team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, licensing requirements, and applicable legal regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to stock, wastage, breakage, and daily operations.
- Assist management in planning promotions, events, and special beverage programs.
- Monitor competitor trends and suggest new products, cocktails, and service ideas.
- Support management in achieving sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction targets.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of bar operations and beverage service.
- Excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, mocktails, and other beverages.
- Strong team leadership and people-management skills.
- Positive knowledge of beverage costing and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage high-volume operations and work under pressure.
- Good knowledge of POS systems and bar inventory systems.
- Strong attention to hygiene, presentation, and service standards.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in bar operations, including supervisory/managerial experience.
- Experience in a reputed hotel, restaurant, lounge, club, or premium F&B; outlet preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
