About the Role

Vietnom at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata is seeking an experienced and hands-on Bar Supervisor to oversee daily bar operations and support the delivery of a high-quality beverage experience.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and bar operations, along with the ability to lead and train the bar team. Candidates with experience in reputed 4-star or 5-star hotels will be preferred, while strong candidates from premium standalone restaurants and bars are also encouraged to apply.

Department: Food & Beverage (Service)

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the bar under the direction of the Bar Executive.
- Lead, supervise and train bartenders and other bar team members.
- Maintain high standards of beverage preparation, presentation and guest service.
- Ensure consistency in cocktails and beverages according to established recipes and specifications.
- Maintain strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Engage with guests, understand their preferences and provide suitable beverage recommendations.
- Monitor bar inventory, stock levels, requisitions, wastage and breakages.
- Ensure proper storage, rotation and handling of beverage stock.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with beverage inventory control.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures for the bar.




- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation of the bar and back-bar areas.
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate responsibilities to the bar team.
- Coordinate effectively with the restaurant service team and kitchen during operations.
- Drive beverage sales through product knowledge, recommendations and suggestive selling.
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, hygiene standards and applicable responsible beverage-service requirements.
- Support the Bar Executive with beverage promotions, special events, menu development and other operational initiatives.

Candidate Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Bar / Food & Beverage Service, with relevant supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with a reputed 4-star/5-star hotel, premium restaurant or bar preferred.
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management preferred.
- Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beverage service.
- Good understanding of bar inventory, beverage costing and stock control.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
- Strong leadership, team-management and guest-engagement skills.
- Knowledge of Oracle MICROS Simphony and Petpooja preferred.
- Well-groomed, professional and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment.
