Role Overview

Job Responsibilities:

As a Backend Developer at Drip Capital, you will be responsible for:

- Designing, building, deploying, and maintaining microservices that provide time-sensitive capital to customers worldwide.
- Collaborating closely with product managers to understand customer requirements and define technical solutions.
- Developing risk modules to adapt to individual and market variations.
- Creating and enhancing workflow automation.
- Debugging issues across services and multiple levels of the technology stack.

Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years of relevant experience in building low-latency, distributed systems that are scalable and reliable.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in at least one back-end programming language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C/C++




- Experience with at least one MVC framework used for backend development, such as Ruby on Rails, Spring, CodeIgniter, etc.
- Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), with the ability to write optimized SQL queries and understand indexing, schema design, and query performance.
- Experience in designing and building APIs, including RESTful APIs or GraphQL, with positive understanding of versioning, pagination, authentication, and best practices.
- Solid understanding of software architecture fundamentals, including object-oriented design, abstractions, and system design.
- Passion for building well-engineered, reusable backend components with high-quality code.
- Basic knowledge of test-driven software development.
- Good to have prior experience with ruby on rails.
