Navi Mumbai

B2B Sales & Account Associate

Ajjas (HPS Lab Designs Pvt. Ltd.) • Navi Mumbai • Pan-India Travel Required

About Ajjas

Ajjas is an AIoT company that builds connected intelligence for the physical world. We design, manufacture and operate telematics and IoT solutions for electric vehicles, automotive businesses, commercial fleets, vehicle financiers, insurers, cold-chain and commercial refrigeration equipment, and other distributed assets.

Our B2B customers include OEMs, dealership networks, fleet operators, NBFCs, insurers, and industrial enterprises. What we sell is not hardware or a SaaS subscription alone it is a solution that becomes embedded in how our customers run their operations. Our sales cycles are consultative, our deployments are technical, and our customer relationships are long-term.

We are a growing company. The people who join us now will take on real responsibility from day one, have direct access to leadership, and shape how we build the commercial engine of the business.

The Role

This is a customer-facing commercial role not a coordination or support position. You will own and grow a set of B2B accounts, manage the commercial pipeline, ensure every customer commitment gets executed, and make sure no inbound lead or repeat-order chance is dropped.

You will work directly with Shailendra Singh (Co-founder & Director) and collaborate closely with the operations, product, engineering and finance teams to deliver on customer commitments. This role is designed for someone who wants to be in front of enterprise customers regularly, is comfortable asking directly for orders and payments, and treats follow-through as a personal standard not an instruction from a manager.

For the right candidate, this role offers a steep learning curve, direct mentorship on solution selling, and a path into senior commercial responsibility as Ajjas scales.

Key Responsibilities

1 • Existing Account Management

- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for your assigned B2B customers.
- Understand each customer's business, stakeholders, deployment status, pending requirements and growth potential.
- Conduct structured account reviews — weekly for active accounts, fortnightly for steady-state ones.
- Maintain relationships across operational contacts, influencers and decision-makers.
- Visit high-priority customers at least quarterly; more frequently when there is commercial or operational urgency.
- Identify dissatisfaction, delivery risks and expansion opportunities before they escalate or expire.

2 • Repeat Orders & Business Growth

- Identify and pursue opportunities for repeat orders, additional deployments, subscription renewals and account expansion.
- Follow up consistently on quotations, proposals, commercial discussions and purchase orders.
- Help convert successful pilots and integrations into paid commercial deployments.
- Develop and maintain account-wise opportunity forecasts and growth plans for priority accounts.
- Progressively take ownership of commercial discussions and closures as your understanding of accounts deepens.

3 • Payment & Collection Follow-Up

- Track all invoices, payment commitments and outstanding receivables for assigned accounts.
- Follow up confidently and professionally for payment — without ambiguity or apology.
- Coordinate with finance to resolve invoicing, documentation and reconciliation issues promptly.
- Escalate payment risks before they become business-critical.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date collection visibility for your accounts.

4 • Customer-to-Internal Coordination

- Convert customer discussions into specific internal actions, owners and deadlines — not just forwarded messages.
- Coordinate with internal teams for pilots, installations, integrations, testing and reporting.
- Follow up until commitments are completed; escalate bottlenecks promptly rather than waiting.
- Keep customers proactively informed on progress, dependencies and revised timelines.

5 • Inbound Lead Management

- Review and qualify all B2B enquiries from the Ajjas website and other inbound channels.
- Assess fit, sector, use case, potential volume, urgency and decision-making readiness.
- Allocate qualified leads to the right team member based on specialisation and current workload.
- Ensure every lead has an owner, a next action and a deadline — and that this stays true over time.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews; identify and act on stalled leads.
- Ensure no relevant inbound enquiry is left unattended or allowed to go cold without deliberate intent.

6 • Sales Reporting & Pipeline Discipline

- Maintain accurate account, lead and opportunity records in the designated CRM or sales tracker.
- Prepare a concise weekly report covering account status, repeat-order opportunities, inbound leads, proposals, expected revenue, collections, execution risks and decisions requiring management input.
- Ensure every active account and opportunity has a defined next action and a transparent timeline — always.

Who We Are Looking For

Experienced Candidates (1–2 Years)

We prefer candidates with hands-on B2B sales, business development or account management experience in one or more of the following areas: automotive or EV, GPS/telematics/IoT, fleet management, vehicle financing or NBFC, insurance or insurtech, automotive SaaS, dealer networks, connected mobility, batteries or energy storage, or commercial refrigeration and cold chain.

Experience selling to OEMs, dealerships, fleet operators, NBFCs, insurers or industrial companies is particularly relevant. That said, strong candidates from adjacent sectors — enterprise SaaS, industrial B2B, capital goods — will also be considered if they demonstrate genuine aptitude and coachability.

MBA Freshers

We will also consider exceptional MBA freshers who demonstrate the following qualities in a convincing way — not just on paper, but in conversation and in the way they carry themselves:

- Communication that is explicit and direct — comfortable making a point, not just presenting one.
- Ownership and follow-through — the kind of person who treats an open item as their personal problem until it is closed.
- Commercial instinct — ability to understand what a business is trying to do and how our solution fits.

- Confidence with unfamiliar and senior stakeholders — initiates conversations, asks for decisions, and does not wait to be invited.
- Ability to ask directly — for orders, for payments, for commitments, for answers. Without hedging.
- Constructive persistence — follows up until there is a resolution, and knows how to escalate when stuck.
- Comfort with objections and difficult conversations — handles pushback without becoming defensive or deferential.
- Genuine interest in technology-led enterprise sales — curious about how our solutions work and why they matter to customers.
- Willingness to travel regularly — this is not a desk-based role.

What Makes This Role Demanding

This is an execution-intensive, customer-facing, travel-heavy role. You will be measured on what you close, what you collect, what you follow through on and how your accounts grow — not on how many calls you make or how many emails you send. If you are looking for a role where you manage communication and wait for others to execute, this is not it.

If you are looking for a role where you get real ownership early, build lasting enterprise relationships, and learn how to run a B2B commercial function from the ground up, this is exactly it.

Training & Development (for Freshers & Early-Career Hires)

If you join at an early stage of your career, Ajjas will invest in your development through structured exposure to: Ajjas's product and technology stack; enterprise and solution-led selling; account management and customer discovery; commercial proposals, negotiations and pricing; managing enterprise pilots and technical integrations; payment and collection management; CRM discipline and pipeline management; revenue forecasting; and cross-functional execution.

You will work directly under Shailendra Singh's supervision and progressively take independent responsibility as your capability and confidence grow.

What We Offer

- Direct access to a founder and a compressed learning curve.
- Real commercial responsibility, not a support or coordination role.
- Exposure to some of India's most interesting technology-led B2B deployments.
- A team that values ownership, initiative and honesty over hierarchy and process.
- A clear path to senior commercial responsibility as Ajjas grows.

Location & Travel

Office base: Navi Mumbai (CBD Belapur). Regular travel to customer locations across India is an integral part of this role — at minimum quarterly customer visits, more frequently for active accounts and opportunities. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as required.
