Azure Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric Operations Support

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to provide Level 1 and Level 2 operational support for a Microsoft Fabric based enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, informatica based data platforms,data integration technologies, monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and deployment support.

The role involves ensuring the stability, availability, performance, and operational health of critical data engineering workloads, supporting production incidents, maintaining data pipelines, and driving continuous service improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Fabric Workspaces, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Eventhouse, and KQL Databases.
- Manage Azure Databricks clusters, jobs, notebooks, and scheduled workloads.
- Manage and support Informatica integrations, workflows, and data movements.
- Investigate and resolve pipeline failures, data ingestion issues, and production incidents.
- Re run failed jobs and workflows as required.
- Support deployment activities, configuration changes, and post deployment validations.
- Manage user provisioning/deprovisioning and access requests.
- Coordinate with Microsoft, Informatica, and other stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Prepare RCA reports, operational metrics, capacity reports, and maintain support documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Azure Data Engineering or Data Platform Support.
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Eventhouse, KQL).
- Robust experience with Azure Databricks, Notebooks, Jobs, and PySpark.
- Experience with Informatica and integration support.




- Experience in ETL/ELT processes, data orchestration, and scheduled job management.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python/PySpark, and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
- Understanding of ITIL based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications

- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Informatica Certified Professional (Preferred)
