Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Design & Management
- Design, provision, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise data platforms and applications.
- Build scalable, highly available, and secure cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Manage AWS services including compute, networking, storage, database, monitoring, and security components.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, reliability, and operational resilience.
Infrastructure Ownership & Knowledge Transfer
- Eliminate key-person dependency risks by documenting infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and support processes.
- Establish cloud governance and operational standards to ensure sustainable platform ownership.
- Create and maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-training within engineering and operations teams.
Deployment & Platform Enablement
- Collaborate with application, platform, and DevOps teams to enable seamless deployment processes.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to standardize and automate environment provisioning.
- Ensure repeatable, secure, and compliant deployment practices across environments.
DevOps & Automation
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation frameworks.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment speed, reliability, and efficiency.
Security, Compliance & Monitoring
- Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network security,
and access controls.
- Monitor cloud environments and proactively address operational, performance, and security risks.
- Support compliance, audit, backup, recovery, and business continuity requirements.
- Manage logging, ing, and observability solutions across the platform.
Operational Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and service disruptions.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for cloud platform and deployment-related issues.
Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, and operational reviews
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with a solid focus on AWS.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and Secrets Manager, AWS Bedrock
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, high availability, and disaster recovery principles.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud-hosted applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with data platform environments, analytics platforms, or modern data ecosystems.
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
