We're looking for a Founding AWS Cloud Engineer to build the infrastructure behind Valerie's AI-native platform.

This is a 0→1 opportunity — no legacy systems, no existing architecture. You'll design and build our cloud infrastructure from the ground up, owning key decisions across AWS, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, scalability, security, and reliability .

You'll work closely with Product, AI, and Engineering teams to turn current ideas into secure, scalable production systems.

What You'll Do

- Design and build AWS infrastructure from the ground up
- Own Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, and production reliability
- Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures
- Work with containers, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
- Build infrastructure supporting AI/ML and LLM workloads
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams on technical decisions

What We're Looking For





- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and production cloud infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of services such as EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, and CloudWatch
- Strong experience with Terraform , Docker, and CI/CD
- Solid understanding of Linux, networking, security, monitoring, and incident management
- Experience building scalable distributed systems
- Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, LLMs, vector databases, or RAG systems
- Strong ownership and ability to make architecture decisions independently

Bonus Points

- Kubernetes / ECS
- Kafka, Redis, SQS, EventBridge, or Lambda
- Vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, or pgvector
- GPU infrastructure, MLOps, or AI inference
- Experience building 0→1 products in an early-stage startup
