Test Automation Engineer:

Responsibilities:

1. Design and execute test plans and test cases for Edge Control Platform applications to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of desktop and web-based software.
2. Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites to improve test coverage, efficiency, and software quality across complex enterprise applications.
3. Identify, document, track, and report product defects promptly and accurately.
4. Contribute to continuous product quality improvement and actively participate in planning, estimation, and technical decision-making activities.
5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and planning to testing, release, and reporting.
6. Demonstrate flexibility in supporting team priorities and take ownership of tasks that contribute to the agile team's collective goals.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Proficiency in test automation using tools and languages such as Python, Playwright, TestComplete, Selenium or similar.
2. Strong understanding of testing fundamentals, including test levels, types, techniques, and automation processes.
3. Strong analytical, critical, and lateral thinking abilities, complemented by meticulous attention to detail and a practical commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in a SAFe/Agile workplace.
5. Ability to clearly articulate and justify testing strategies, tools, and automation efforts to stakeholders.
6. Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and streamline workflows.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, or a related field), or equivalent.
2. 6+ years of experience in testing complex software systems, with a minimum of 2 years focused on test automation design and development for enterprise-scale software solutions.

Desirable Skills:

1. Knowledge of protocols such as Modbus, ION, Modbus TCP, BACnet, or similar protocols used in Industrial Automation and Electrical Distribution domains is a definite plus.
2. Experience testing complex software products in domains such as Enterprise Energy Management Systems, SCADA Solutions, or Network Management Systems is a plus.
3. Knowledge and expertise in Energy Management Distribution products such as Energy Meters and Power Meters is desirable.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with a strong team player attitude, are essential.
