Job Overview

As an Automation Testing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with the development and project management teams to design, develop, and execute automated tests. This role requires strong technical skills, particularly in scripting languages like Node.js, React.js, or Java, and hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright and Jasmine. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaboration: Work with developers and project managers to understand project requirements, create test plans, and align the testing strategy with project goals.
- Test Case Development: Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases, focusing on applications built using React.js and Node.js.
- Automation Testing: Perform automation testing using tools such as Playwright, Jasmine, and Selenium.
- Manual Testing: Support manual testing efforts to ensure the functional, performance, and security integrity of applications.
- Regression Testing: Conduct thorough regression tests to ensure recent changes do not affect existing functionality.
- Version Control: Manage test scripts and automation code using Git for version control.
- Cloud Integration (Desirable):



Familiarity with AWS Lambda for cloud-based automation testing is an added advantage.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek to optimize testing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Technical Skills:Strong experience in automation testing, including script development in Node.js, React.js, or Java.
- Proficiency with automation tools like Playwright, Jasmine, and Selenium.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing processes.
- Experience in AWS Lambda is desirable but not mandatory.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and provide clear and detailed bug reports.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn current tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Project Management: Ability to track issues, manage deadlines, and deliver quality results within timelines.

Education & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing, specifically for JavaScript-based applications.
