Position: Design Engineer – Mechanical Design (SolidWorks)

The role will be responsible for complete engineering activities from RFQ study, concept development and design approval through 3D modelling, 2D detailing, manufacturing support, assembly and machine prove-out.

The position will have robust involvement in Conveyor Systems, ESD Workstations, Jigs & Fixtures, SPM Machines and Industrial Automation Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Study customer RFQs, process requirements and technical specifications.

Develop conceptual designs, layouts and engineering solutions for customized automation projects.

Ø Design and develop: Roller Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Chain Conveyors, Slat Conveyors, Transfer & Lifting Systems, ESD Workstations, Assembly Workstations, Jigs & Fixtures, SPM Machines, Assembly Automation, Pick & Place Systems, and Material Handling Systems

Ø Prepare 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings and BOMs.

Ø Ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, reliability and cost optimization.

Ø Coordinate with manufacturing, purchase, electrical, automation and assembly teams.

Ø Prepare & Participate in Design Approval Process (DAP) and customer technical discussions.

Ø Support machine assembly, installation, commissioning and machine prove-out.

Ø Resolve design and manufacturing issues during project execution.

Ø Ensure projects are delivered within agreed cost, quality and timeline.

Ø Standardize design practices,



components and engineering documentation.

Ø Develop reusable design concepts and standard modules for conveyors and automation systems.

Required Qualifications:

Ø Diploma / Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Ø 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in Conveyors, SPM, Jigs & Fixtures and Industrial Automation.

Ø Minimum 1+ years of experience in conveyor or automation/SPM machine design.

Ø Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.

Ø Good understanding of mechanical engineering, machine design and manufacturing processes with GD&T.;

Ø Experience in working with user-centred design principles and methodologies.

Ø Sound experience on selection of STD Pneumatic & Mechanical Components (LM Rail, Bearing, Bush etc.) such as FESTO, SMC, Pneumax, Misumi, Hiwin,THK etc.

Ø Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Ø Experience on Pneumatic cylinder & Hydraulic cylinders, motors etc.

Ø Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Ø Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and resources effectively.

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
