We are looking for an Associate to join our Financial Management Department in Chennai, cross-trained across two functions Expense Financial Accounting and Fund Accounting (Managed Funds). The role is designed to build the incumbent's proficiency in the daily, weekly, and monthly activities of both functions, while also supporting general transactional work allocated by the department.

Key Responsibilities

- Undergo a structured cross-training plan across Expense Financial Accounting and Fund Accounting to build proficiency in both functions
- Support daily verification and posting of market-making, investment, and bank transactions, progressing toward independent handling of Accounts Payable processing and bank reconciliations
- Support fund accounting activities including trade verification, cash and bank reconciliations, fee reviews, and NAV computation for assigned funds
- Provide coverage across Expense Financial Accounting and Fund Accounting during planned/unplanned absences or transitions
- Document process steps,



exceptions, and control points in line with Finance Operating Principles
- Support period-end closing activities, ensuring assigned reconciliations, adjustments, and postings are completed within deadlines

Desired Candidate Profile

- Education: B.Com with MBA in Finance; consistently robust academic performance - CGPA 8 and Above
- Experience: Fresher to 1 year in accounting, finance, or a related field; exposure to financial services or investment management preferred but not mandatory
- Skills: Strong understanding of financial and cost accounting principles, working proficiency in MS Excel, comfort learning new accounting/finance systems
- Competencies: High attention to detail, strong learning agility, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, collaborative mindset, discretion with confidential financial data, and a proactive, ownership-driven approach
