Plaksha is a technology university for the future, founded through collective philanthropy by a global community of entrepreneurs and business leaders to reimagine technology education and research. Our vision is to nurture the next generation of fearless leaders to solve the toughest challenges of our planet.

The University launched in 2021 in Mohali, Punjab and is at an exciting stage. We launched a high school summer program called Young Technology Scholars in 2018, a postgraduate program called Tech Leaders Program in 2019, cutting-edge undergraduate programs in 2021, and the PhD program in 2022. We are looking for people to join us on this exciting journey and translate the ambitious vision into reality.

Role: Associate Director- Fundraising, Institutional Advancement

Locations: Mumbai & Hyderabad

We are looking for purpose-driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey and translate the ambitious vision into reality by building lifelong champions of the cause and acquiring financial support for the university. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has relevant fundraising expertise.

We are also open to considering your application if you have the passion to make a difference, the appetite to take on the task of fundraising with transferable skills from previous experience such as private banking and are keen to explore the impact sector to reset your career.

:

- Developing Fundraising Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals. This involves setting fundraising targets, identifying potential donors, and outlining fundraising approaches (e.g., major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, events).




- Proposal Writing and Management: Identify fundraising opportunities from foundations and corporates. Lead the proposal writing and ensure they are compelling, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Leading Fundraising Initiatives: Oversee all fundraising campaigns and initiatives, ensuring they are effectively implemented and monitored. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and resources to maximize fundraising outcomes.
- Cultivate Donor Relationships: Proactively build and nurture an effective network of partnerships and relationships with prospective donors through customized communications and donor stewardship efforts in the region.
- Promote Plaksha's Mission: Represent the university at events and increase awareness of the university's vision to inspire prospective donors to participate in collective philanthropy efforts.
- Relationship Management: Work effectively with team members across various teams and levels, internally and externally, to drive the highest levels of donor engagement and relationship maintenance.
- Build and Manage Portfolio: Manage, cultivate, and expand a portfolio of individuals, foundations, and corporations by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to support Plaksha's goals.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:





- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with 12+ years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy, institutional advancement, corporate partnerships, CSR, or relationship management.
- Candidates from private banking, wealth management, family offices, or similar relationship-driven sectors with a solid interest in philanthropy are encouraged to apply.

Skills:

- Understanding of philanthropy networks, grants, and the proposal process.
- Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to excellence, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Flexibility in a start-up environment with dynamically changing scope of work and needs.
- Self-driven, proactive, keen learner and motivated to go above and beyond what is asked, to deliver exceptional outcomes.
