- Liaise with RBI, AD banks, and external consultants on regulatory matters and filings
- Monitor changes in FEMA/RBI regulations and assess impact on the business, recommending corrective action where needed
M&A; Support
- Support due diligence, financial structuring, and valuation exercises for M&A;, fundraising, and strategic transactions
- Assist in post-merger integration activities including financial and reporting alignment
- Coordinate with investment bankers, legal counsel, and consultants on transaction-related documentation
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Oversee end-to-end AP and AR operations, including vendor payments, invoice processing, customer billing, and collections
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts, and resolution of outstanding items/disputes
- Monitor ageing, working capital, and cash flow impact of AP/AR, and drive process efficiency and controls in both cycles
Audit & Controls
- Own the end-to-end statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit process, acting as the key point of contact for auditors
- Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and SOPs
- Drive timely closure of audit observations and implementation of process improvements
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance executives/associates
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Business, Tax) and external stakeholders (auditors, bankers, regulators)
- Support the Financial Controller in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance initiatives
Candidate Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in group consolidation, FEMA compliance, M&A; support, audit handling, and AP/AR operations
- Prior experience in a fintech, NBFC, or banking organization strongly preferred
- A few years of Big 4 experience is an added advantage
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a team
- Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, and RBI/FEMA regulations
- Proficiency in Excel/financial modeling; familiarity with ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Working knowledge of AI tools for finance and productivity (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, Excel Copilot, or similar) is preferred
