Role Description The Assistant Professor of Mathematics will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Mathematics and related disciplines, including Applied Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics, as appropriate. Day-to-day activities include preparing and delivering lectures, designing and updating course materials, creating assignments and examinations, and providing regular academic support and mentoring to students. The role involves conducting scholarly research,



contributing to curriculum development that aligns with CTPL’s digital education vision, and participating in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional initiatives.

The Assistant

Professor will also be expected to integrate technology-enhanced learning tools, support student projects, and contribute to outreach or academic events. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Mohali district.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with the ability to teach core and advanced topics.
- Competence in related quantitative disciplines such as Physics and Statistics to support interdisciplinary learning.
- Experience or interest in Curriculum Development, especially for technology-enabled and outcome-based education.
- Postgraduate degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Mathematics or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is highly preferred.
- Ability to use digital tools and learning management systems to deliver and manage courses.
- Effective communication, classroom management, and student mentoring skills.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and continuous professional development.
