Key Must-Haves for this Role:

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Plastics/HDPE blow moulding.

- Prior experience in a supervisory capacity managing shop-floor manpower & setting EBM machines.

- Willingness to work in Umbergaon, Gujarat.

/ Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate and supervise day-to-day production activities for HDPE bottle and closure manufacturing on extrusion blow moulding machines of CMP, Jagmohan-Meper and Milacron Injection Moulding Machines.

- Set and verify moulds and process parameters to achieve required product quality and production output.

- Oversee process optimization, including parison programming, weight distribution, and managing regrind levels to ensure consistent product quality with minimal rejection.

- Monitor production schedules, machine utilisation, manpower deployment and material availability.

- Supervise Production Supervisors, operators and shop-floor manpower and ensure smooth shift operations.

- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for maintaining product quality and resolving quality-related issues.

- Perform advanced root cause analysis on production defects and lead corrective action implementation.

- Identify production problems, support troubleshooting and coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

- Drive workplace organization by implementing 5S methodology and ensure compliance with hygiene, GMP, and food-grade packaging standards.

- Train, mentor, and evaluate operators and helpers on machine handling, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.

- Maintain and review production records, reports and shift-wise production data in English.

- Ensure adherence to production procedures, housekeeping and safe working practices on the shop floor.





- Assist the Production Manager in achieving production targets, improving productivity and maintaining consistent product quality.

- Support weekly shift rotation and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Desired Profile of the Candidate:

- Solid practical experience in plastics manufacturing, particularly HDPE extrusion blow moulding.

- Experience in supervising production operations and shop-floor manpower.

- Good understanding of mould setting, machine operation, process control, troubleshooting and production quality.

- Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams.

- Good reporting and communication skills in English.

- In-depth knowledge of Extrusion Blow Moulding machinery platforms (e.g., Kautex, Bekum, Uniloy) is an added advantage.

Qualification / Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in plastics manufacturing.

- Preferably 3+ years in a supervisory or senior production role in an Extrusion Blow Moulding unit in India.

- Experience with HDPE blow moulding and CMP and Jagmohan-Meper Machines will be preferred.

- ITI / Diploma / CIPET/ Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline may be considered based on practical experience.
