We are looking for an Assistant Mechanical Modeller with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or RAC and experience working with engineering consultancy firms, specializing in HVAC drafting and 3D modelling using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. The role involves preparing HVAC layouts, performing clash detection, coordinating with MEP disciplines, conducting quantity take-offs and design checks, and ensuring high-quality project deliverables within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare HVAC layouts in Revit as per project requirements.
- Perform 3D modelling of HVAC systems with accuracy and clarity.
- Review alignment of HVAC models with other disciplines 2D and 3D deliverables.
- Ensure quality and accuracy in all drawings and deliverables.
- Perform basic design calculations such as duct sizing.
- Carry out quantity take-offs based on design drawings.
- Conduct thorough checking and verification of drawings.
- Coordinate effectively with other MEP disciplines, including Electrical and Plumbing.
- Perform clash detection in Revit 3D models and resolve coordination issues.
- Work efficiently within project timelines to deliver tasks on schedule.
- Review vendor drawings for compliance with project requirements.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC).
- Must have experience working with Engineering Consultancy firms.
- Strong skills in drafting HVAC systems including Ducting layouts, Piping layouts, Plant room layouts, Equipment sections and detailing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to work.
- Robust team player with effective multi-disciplinary coordination skills.
- Knowledge of Fire Protection Systems and Plant 3D piping layouts is an added advantage.
