Role Overview
We are looking for an accomplished Assistant Manager – Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in financial due diligence within a Big 4 or equivalent advisory practice, with exposure to both buy-side and sell-side transactions. This role requires strong technical acumen, the ability to manage complex deal processes, and leadership skills to guide a team of diligence professionals while collaborating with U.S.-based engagement teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Due Diligence & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis of target company financials, including Quality of Earnings (QoE), Net Working Capital (NWC), Debt-like items, and key deal considerations.
- Translate financial data into actionable Excel-based analyses and workbooks to support U.S.-based engagement teams.
- Perform financial ratio analysis, benchmarking, and trend analysis to identify key risks and opportunities.
- Deal Execution & Client Interaction
- Prepare and update document request lists and management meeting agendas.
- Participate in management meetings with target companies and contribute to client discussions and deal strategy.
- Support the preparation and finalization of due diligence reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
- Project & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and review the work of a team of 6–8 diligence professionals,
ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Coordinate daily with U.S.-based consulting professionals, managers, and senior leadership, including early morning and late evening calls.
- Ensure seamless communication, alignment of deliverables, and adherence to timelines.
- Technology & Process Excellence
- Leverage advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas) (required skill) and data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI to enhance efficiency and reporting quality (Preferred Skill).
- Drive process improvements and adopt best practices in deal execution and reporting.
- Experience: 4–6 years of financial due diligence (buy-side and sell-side), ideally within a Big 4 or equivalent TAS practice.
- Education: CA / CPA / MBA (Finance).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial concepts, and due diligence methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to identify risks, resolve issues, and improve processes.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with project management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with global teams and clients.
